Personality Friday With Mimi

" Our tasks are different, kindly find it out and live to fulfill it."

Senator Okedeji Akinwunmi

Good Evening sir. This is Personality Friday With Mimi. Can we meet you?

I'm Okedeji Akinwumi Ishola. A student of English and literary studies in Tai Solarin university of Education.

How would you describe leadership?

Leadership🤓🤓🤓 Leadership is a thankless job. No matter how good or committed you are, you will still be criticized. Leadership is a great task that requires the wisdom of God.

What inspired you to go for a post in the Student Union?

Hmm ....

Well, when a man is yet to realize what he's on earth to live for, he's not even worth to be living. I realized lately that the best way to live is to live not only for urself but to be useful to others.

As a representative of your College at the Senatorial level, how has it been?

It's been stressful and full of different challenges but the best thing I have been enjoying so far is service to humanity (selfless service).

Uhmmm..
We've heard about how active you are. How do you manage to meet up with your academic?

Lols... I have been asked this question severally. Unionism can never be a reason for you to fail, it can only be a challenge to you. Moreover as a real human being, you really need to learn how to multi task.

What would you say about leaders who use their post for personal interest?

Hmm... Well, no matter how perfect you may be, there are sometime you just need to use it for your personal interest but to be sincere, a real leader won't use it for his personal interest. A real leader's interest will be granted without him using any power.

What do you have to say to other youths out there?

Our tasks are different, kindly find it out and live to fulfill it.

Dear Moon

Dear Moon🌒............

Sky showed me..
But I was confused..
Not until I started noticing..
A decrease in your brightness once you sight me..
It was then it dawned on me..

Still confused..
As I kept wondering..
What could have amounted to such..
Not until I discovered one..
Which made me go off head..

After things fell apart for a while..
The conflict became a bygone..
But still discovered some shitty withdrawals..
Could it be the jealousy I once noticed in you?..
But people honour you than they do to me..

Maybe it should be the end of trust anyway..
Since my secrets you end up spilling..
Even if we've still got space together in sky..
Your space in my heart is gone..
But that doesn't stop us from moving together in sky..

Yours sincerely, Star🌟

HEAR ME OUT TODAY By Omoloye Miracle 1st October, 2019.

From now till you wish to...
Lay your complaints!..
Deny me if you wish to...
Chew your complaints!..

Yen yen yen..
Like it's my fault..
Keep playing your ten ten..
When you're the solution looking for alt..

Keep uttering curses on me...
While your sisters pray for their foundation...
In your hands is the destiny of me..
You're the body to make me function...

You keep saying I'm of no good...
When you've done nothing to make me better...
Holding on to the flaws of past leaders won't be of any good...
Letting the change you seek start from you would make me better...

Human Right

We call it human right..
But it seems the irony like crossed bans..
For it is being trampled upon with might..
By these same humans..

It ain't animals that break these rules..
Humans are the same enemies to humans..
Should it be called a mystery in rules?..
Or a reality that seems crazy in pans..

We claim to possess the brain..
More than other living and non-living..
Behind the killing of our rights, we're main..
We humans are the wild animals against the living..

Mimi

Straw that stirs the drink..
An activist..
A voice of the people..
Whose voice can't be heard..

No matter..
How close we are..
Playing on people's innocence..
Would make me step on your toes..

Get used to me..
So, it won't come as a shock..

Mheerah-dee ✍️

Suicide

I'm suicide..
I become the best on your mind with tide..
Without stress..
But with a tool called depression...

I walk my way to your heart...
Making myself your best option...
Clearing every sign of common sense..
As I charm you in love with me..

ELECTRICITY: The Bulb's Life

ELECTRICITY: The Bulb's Life

By Omoloye Miracle

Ain't dealing with solar here..
So you can wash your argument down with bear..
The life is all I care..
And to bring the flaw to shear..

We claim ownership..
Of tomorrow's leadership..
Yet we behave indifferent..
When politics comes to rent..

Politicians are the bulbs..
We're the electricity..
We're the current to the bulbs..
We're the light to the city..

Supporting politicians for selfish interest?
Oh damn! That shit has got to stop..
Supporting the right choice would make a good rest..
Let's have a good government to make corruption stop..

Personality Friday With Mimi

"Be smart, don't be too quick in accepting advice." Adeyera Johnson

Good Evening sir.. This is Personality Friday With Mimi. Can we meet you?

I'm Adeyera Johnson Adeyemi, popularly known as COPPER.
A Biological Science student of Tai Solarin University of Education.

Okay..
So, what are you into?

Am a media PR, a digital marketer, an online promoter, online business guru, content creator e.t.c😁

Wow! That's huge!
How then do you combine it with your education? Doesn't one affect one?

Hmmmn
Well, I won't lie to you. It does affect but not that much.
Being a media person before being an undergraduate built my foundation of balancing both parties.

How do you deal with it afecting it then?

There is time for seriousness and time for enjoyment. So, my enjoyment is the stuff I do.
Dealing with the two, we'll first start with God's grace. I do structure my activities just to be equilibrium. Like I said earlier, there is time for everything. I notice my free period is most times at night so, I make use of it well.

How do you handle disappointments?

Smile..
I handle such with the little knowledge I have.
Let's leave it that way🙂

Uhmmm.. ok
What motivates you?

One thing that keeps me going is just the mindset of being a famous media personnel not just in Nigeria but throughout the world.

Surprised why I opted in for science when my passion is in media?
Let me use this, I didn't discover my talent on time. Though, I don't just have one talent but many talents.

Have you ever regretted being a science student before discovering your talent?

No regret at all.
Infact, it's a blessing!

That's cool.
So, what's your advice to other youths out there?

Everyone has his or her talents. You can only discover it with the grace of God. Once discovered, build it up and mingle with people in building it up.
Let the God you serve be the first and last in everything. Get being experienced. Infact, learn new good things daily.
Be smart, don't be too quick in accepting advice. Learn to think deep and u

se what you have positively. Lastly, be the risk taker.
Shalom🙇🏻‍♂

"....Poets shouldn't write for prestige and personal honour but for changing the world with their intellects." Tijani Sodiq

Good evening sir. This is Personality Friday With Mimi. Can we meet you?

I'm Tijani Sodiq Olamide.
A Political Science student of Obafemi Awolowo University, Nigeria.

What do you do?

I'm a student but I'm into blogging and graphic designing.

Your blog is based on what aspect?

I only post motivational articles and seldomly upload some poems too when I have the time to do so.

So, you're a writer?

Yes, I'm a writer. I write poems, articles, and books but those books are not yet published.
I only write fictional and non-fictional books.

Okay..
Due to the fact you've not had any book published, have you ever felt like quitting?

No, because writing isn't about getting one's books published. It is about feeling and perspective view about the environment where one lives and resides. There are writers who have got their books published and they really passed no message in their books to the audience; otherwise some people(young ones in particular) who haven't got their books published but they've really succeeded passing positive messages across through the help of social platforms and the audience mostly get those messages.
Still, it is good to publish one's books so as to be recognized internationally and meet the targeted audience or those who you really write the books for– be it government agencies, individuals, financial institutions, terrorists, and amongst others. Thus, I never really felt like quitting because writing as a means of expressing my mood and tone is what I feel passionate about– I do it because I love it.

Uhmmmmmm.. That's deep!
How do you relate poetry to life?

Poetry depicts life itself and life itself depicts poetry because poetry pictures social misfortunes of humankinds in their various environs, it reflects one's sentiment and state of being through expressive principal use of language, and even poetry includes more than one's feeling and social befalling; it influences one's horizon, mentality and personal philosophy. And when one talks about personal philosophy, I talk of one's attitude towards life. Attitude here in a more developed sense characterizes a person's world views, expressed and observed which may be the sum total of his/her thinking and reasoning which are fully acquired and fully inherited in the process of living. Don't forget that all reasoning is thinking but not all thinking is reasoning. This explains why some people write ordinary words and they considered it to be poetry; otherwise some people write true feelings not deceptive one. Thus, I will say Poetry has necessary nexus would life because it pictures every circumstances through the principal use of language or semantics.

So, do you have anything to say to other youths out there?

I will urge every youth who are so vigorous about writing poems/poetries to be meticulous and focus more on how to write fallaciously free poetries in order to edify and promote the world as a better place, not for prestige and personal honour but for changing the world with their intellects.

"I was taught in

the martial world not to compete with anyone rather than myself..." Chileuwa Chiemela

Good evening sir. This is Personality Friday With Mimi. Can we meet you?

I'm Chileuwa Chiemela

What do you do?

I am an artist, a self defense instructor and a musician.

Was it learnt in school or an inbuilt talent?

My ability to draw is inbuilt. Music is inbuilt too but I learnt taekwondo.

Taekwondu! What's it all about?

It's a korean martial art.
It's taekwondo not taekwondu.

Lol.. Ever reached a point you felt like quitting any?

Yes, its never easy.

What has always motivated you?

God, my family, my friends and myself. I was taught in the martial world not to compete with anyone rather than myself, so i try to be better than myself each day.

Uhmmm.. So, what's your view about white collar jobs?

Depends on individuals. As for me, I see it as a cage trapping so much potentials because you see talented people moving towards a single direction. It won't give a chance for self development.

How do you handle challenges?

One at a time. I try not to worry my head over things I have no control over.

What do you have to say to other youths out there?

Well, it's not easy but you need to first believe in yourself because no one would believe in you if you don't do it first.
Secondly, don't be shy wherever you find yourself or whatever you find yourself doing. Be proud of your profession and like people say, "package yourself well". No one cares about what you're going through, so dont be shy of what you're into. All they want to see is the result( success) nothing more. So, keep working hard, smart and wait for Gods time.
